Jesus is King Revelation 19:16
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death
Romans 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
On the previous page we looked at sin from a Biblical perspective. Whether you agree with or believe what the Bible says about sin, hopefully you at least acknowledge by Biblical definition you are a sinner. On this page we will deal with what your sin gets you. Just as our culture rejects the Biblical teaching of sin, our culture is vehemently opposed to thought of judgment for that sin. The Bible clearly teaches what we earn for our sin, death, physical and spiritual. You can reject what the Bible says but the evidence of this is all around us, we all have loved ones that die and we all will die someday. Just as physical death is a certainty, spiritual death is just as much a certainty. We earn our spiritual death by our sin against a Holy God. Following we will look at how humans will be judged according to the Bible.

-First we need to establish what your sin gets you. The Bible says in Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death. God holds each individual responsible for their sin, you can't and won't be able to blame anyone but yourself. It says in Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The moment you first sinned with knowledge you died spiritually.

-The moment you take your last breath and die physically you will give an account to God. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

-You will give an account for everything you have ever done, not only in action but also in thought. The God that gives you breath knows every action you have ever done and every thought you have ever had. Whether you believe what the Bible says or not, your conscience within you is bearing witness to the truth. Romans 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) 16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. Your own conscience will condemn you, you will be without excuse.

-In this condition you will be found guilty and will spend eternity in a place of constant torment. Jesus tells of a man who died in his dead spiritual state in Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. The man in the story had all of his senses and wanted nothing more than relief and to warn his family of the dreadful place he had wound up in. But it was too late, he had Moses and the prophets and he had rejected what it taught. The story is a picture of all people who have heard the truth of the Bible and rejected it. If you die in unbelief and rejection of God's plan of salvation you to will be in the same situation as the man in the story.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Just as with the Biblical teaching of sin, the Biblical teaching of the coming judgement because of sin is clearly demonstrated. As with sin you can reject the teaching of the coming judgement but hopefully you acknowledge what the Bible says about the matter. My prayer for you though is not that you simply acknowledge the teaching of coming judgement but that it produces fear in you. The Bible says in Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. If not and you still believe it is not true I would warn you to reconsider for it says in Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. If however, you by this point do acknowledge your sin and realize the coming judgement because of your sin click the button for the next page where we will look at how to be forgiven of your sin.
