John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

We have looked at sin and the coming judgement for your sin, we will now look at the only way you can be saved from your sin and the judgement for your sin.  Just as most people reject Biblical teaching of sin and judgement for sin in Hell, most reject the Biblical truth of the only way to be saved from both.  Salvation is only found in the finished work of Jesus Christ, there are not many paths to heaven, only one, John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  Most people when asked if they believe they will go to heaven after they die will give the answer, I think so, I hope so, or I don't know.  When asked why they think they will go to heaven after they die will give answers such as, I try to be a good person, I go to church, I believe in God.  It is not enough to just believe in God, it says in Pslam 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God.  Only a fool outright rejects the reality of God.  It takes more than just believing He exists, it says in James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; Thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.  In this page we will look at Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Bible, the only way you can be saved.

-Jesus says in John 3 all must be born again John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Jesus is speaking of the spiritual birth each human must experience to enter into heaven.  You do not receive this birth by anything you are able to do, not by having Christian parents, not by joining a church, not by any good deeds you may do.  Speaking of the source of the new birth in John 1 it says, John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  Have you been born again?

-The new birth is only possible by receiving the Gospel by faith.  The Gospel is clearly given in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

         #1 Christ died for your sins according to the Scriptures.  The two previous pages we dealt with the Biblical teaching of sin and                            judgement.  It says in Isaiah the Lord Jesus Christ took the penalty of your sin on His body on the cross.  God                                              executed the judgement your sin deserved on His Son Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was                                bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  6 All we like                                sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 10 Yet                        it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, Jesus Christ, God                      in the flesh, on the cross bore your sin and God the Father executed the judgement for your sin on His son.

          #2 Christ was buried.  The Bible says in Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death.  Jesus literally died and was buried, fulfilling

               Old Testament prophecies concerning His burial, Isaiah 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with rich in his death;

                because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

           #3 He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.  Jesus' resurrection was prophesied throughout the Old Testament, it                      says in Psalm 16:10 neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.  This prophecy about Jesus, prophesied His death                  but also His resurrection, His body wouldn't experience decomposition.  Jesus death on the cross paid for the penalty of sin and                  His resurrection proves He conquered sin and death; it no longer has dominion over Him.  Romans 6:9 Knowing that Christ                          being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.  10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once:                  but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.  The resurrection of Jesus Christ is undeniable, men for 2000 years have been trying to

                disprove the resurrection, which would be accomplished if the body of Jesus was found.  They haven't and won't because He is                    not  here: for he is risen (Matthew 28:6).

-The Gospel is what God has done through His Son Jesus Christ on the cross for mankind's sin.  The Gospel is a free gift and available to anyone who will receive it.  John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  You receive this free gift by childlike faith, simply believing and putting all of your hope and faith of salvation in the finished work of Jesus Christ, Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.  God isn't asking you to do anything but to accept His gift of salvation.

-The Bible says behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation, 2 Corinthians 6:2  Acknowledge your unrighteousness, accept the free gift of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord, Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Turn from your way and ask Jesus to save you Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

-If you just asked Jesus to save you from your sin, the Bible says you have just been born again and are sealed with the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption, Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.  The Bible says you are now new creature 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  On the next page we will now look at as a Christian what you are to do.
